Meeting: 10th June, 2015 |
Members of Llangynog WI found themselves ‘swinging into summer’ in the beautiful grounds of the Hall at Abbey-Cwm-Hir, on their annual outing.

On arrival, tea and cakes were served before a guided tour of this most unusual, fascinating, and lovingly restored Victorian Gothic house. Every room was uniquely decorated and full of a wonderfully eclectic collection of objects and furnishings.
Lunch was enjoyed al fresco, with magnificent views of the walled garden, the valley, and hills beyond.
After a pleasant stroll around the grounds in the warm June sunshine, members headed for Bistro 7 in Welshpool where a delicious evening meal was enjoyed by all.

Earlier in the month, the President really enjoyed the WI Centenary Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, and told members all about it.
