At their April meeting, members of Llangynog WI were treated to a fascinating talk and demonstration by local beautician, Mary Perkins. Member, Anne Saunders, agreed to undergo a ‘make-over’, and her natural, youthful-looking skin was enhanced through a process of cleansing, toning and hydration. Mary then went on to prove that ‘less is more’ when it comes to applying cosmetics, producing a subtle but effective look.

During the evening we were introduced to an array of beauty products and cosmetics, and also learnt various techniques of application.

Later, members had fun peeling their apples in an endeavour to produce the longest peel for the competition, which was won by Hazel Owen!
