Members turned detective at Llangynog WI’s March meeting and exercised their sleuthing skills to solve a murder, under the direction of retired CID officer, Phil Roberts. During the evening everyone was given a fascinating insight into policing procedures involving use of forensics, firearms, press release details, witness statements, phone-hacking, surveillance, interviewing techniques and the latest technology.

The monthly competition ‘Best Polished Shoe’ was won by Cath Williams, who may not have used ‘spit and polish’ but undoubtedly used plenty of elbow grease to get such a fine result! A really enjoyable evening was rounded off with a tasty supper provided by Sheila Broome and Gill Hadley.
