February

February, a month when we show our love with Valentine cards and gifts, and a month when snowdrops signal Spring will soon be on its way.

To ‘Show the Love’ for our planet and to make people aware of the urgent need to tackle climate change and protect our environment, members of Llangynog WI created beautiful green hearts from re-cycled and waste ribbon, otherwise destined for landfill.

The speaker and demonstrator, Jo Hill, guided us through the process of ribbon weaving to make applique hearts.

The Memorial Hall was buzzing with concentrated activity as members completed their hearts ready to embellish clothing and accessories, thus promoting the ‘Show the Love’ campaign.
