New Year - New Members
Llangynog WI started the New Year by welcoming more new members to the Happy Band!
Members voted on which national WI resolution they wanted to support with the numbers being forwarded to the WI national office. Votes were also taken on suggested activities and speakers for the year ahead.
January's meeting found some trying for the first time the art of calligraphy, with local enthusiast Alan Young instructing how to hold the pen correctly and form individual letters. Fun was had with memories of school days’ handwriting practice resurfacing.
Alan provided the ‘class’ with pens, ruled paper and a variety of worksheets.
After practising individual letters, members went on to using their newly acquired skills to write their names.
