Tables erected, bat and ping pong balls in hand, members of Llangynog WI played against members of Penybontfawr WI; some delighting in easy knock-abouts, others competitive, returning balls at speed. The hall resounded with the sound of earnest activity and laughter. All members thoroughly enjoyed spending time together and finished off the evening with a fine spread of tasty food.

Competition:
Highest number of bounces of a ping-pong ball on bat

1st place: Val Atherton, with an unbelievable score of over 200!
(And she could have still kept going had time permitted).
2nd place: Cherry Boxall, with an amazing 88 bounces.
3rd place: Anne Hill, with an impressive score of 25.
(Guest for the evening, Maureen Clark, joined in just for fun and managed an astonishing 45 bounces!)

The evening was rounded off with a very tasty spread provided by hosts, Hazel and Anne Hill. Anne Evans, Ann Morgan, Val and Janet also provided food.
