Meeting: 13th March, 2019
Llangynog Laughter

Members of Llangynog WI were saddened to hear, that due to illness, the evening’s speaker, Will Denne, was unable to come along to the meeting.

However, with the help and guidance of Rob Broome, David Burton and Ann Marsh short mat bowls mats were rolled out, bowls put to the ready, and a rather noisy, fun filled evening was had by all.

Members were shown how to hold the bowls correctly, making good use of the bias and practised the low sweeping arm movement to achieve a more accurate placing of the bowls.

Unfortunately, the actual delivery was not always as accurate as members would have liked with bowls running off the mats, and even onto the adjacent mats. This, needless to say, led to much hilarity!

Supper followed (with delicious cake and tasty savouries) before everyone, full of excitement, set off home on a wet and windy night.

The raffle prize (floral notelets, notebook and pens) was donated by Janet and won by Anne Hill.
