Meeting: 14th November, 2018 |
Llangynog member, Pam Parnell, with hypnotherapist Phil Collins |
Members of Llangynog WI did not expect such an unusual but incredibly interesting evening when speaker, hypnotherapist Phil Collins, demonstrated his skill and expertise. He explained in detail the process and theory behind the use of hypnosis in treating conditions and changing habits.
Phil opened his talk by enabling members to experience the power of suggestion by putting them through a few simple activities. Later in the talk, one member volunteered to be put into a trance and indeed experienced some of the benefits of clinical hypnotherapy. By the end of the evening members felt they had a much greater understanding and appreciation of the potential benefits of hypnotherapy. A really fascinating evening was rounded off with a tasty supper enjoyed by all. However, the case of ‘the king who burnt the cakes’ was brought to mind when the president burnt the sausage rolls!
