Meeting: 10th January, 2018 |
Members of Llangynog WI battled their way through blizzard conditions in anticipation of learning about the therapeutic effects of essential oils and their use in clinical aromatherapy.
Stella Wilcox, one of Llangynog WI’s members, armed with couch and an array of oils, derived from aromatic essences, gave a very interesting background description of the art of aromatherapy through the ages. Oils were passed round for members to experience the various fragrances and learn about the oils’ therapeutic properties and benefits.
One lucky member was chosen to enjoy a relaxing massage as Stella demonstrated and explained the various techniques used in assisting the body’s natural healing capacity.
With a general feeling of well-being, members enjoyed a tasty supper, provided by hosts, Janet and Mary.
The raffle prize, a large tin of fancy biscuits, was donated by Pam and won by Janet.
There were a large number of entries for this month’s competition, a sentence from the word MASSAGE, and the winners were:
1st: Jennie Eilbeck; 2nd: Anne Hill; 3rd: Janet Burton.
Jennie’s winning sentence:
Masseurs Are Simply Superb At Generating Ecstasy.
