On arrival, members exchanged Christmas cards and very much enjoyed a tipple of Irish Cream.

After the ‘business’ was concluded, Programme Secretary, Pam Parnell, outlined our 2018 Programme of Events, which includes an interesting and varied mix of speakers, activities and outings. Pam was also thanked for arranging what turned out to be a most enjoyable WI Christmas meal and evening at the Bradford Arms, Llanymynech!

The Speaker for the evening was retired naval nurse, Lieutenant Commander Vic Graham, who gave an excellent talk and presentation, about her role in Afghanistan. Her talk was informative, amusing and often quite moving; and was very much enjoyed by all members.

Finally, all members contributed to a truly festive and delicious supper which rounded off the evening very nicely indeed!
