On Tues 17th September a small group of members very much enjoyed a trip to the British Iron Works for a sumptuous afternoon tea.

The weather was glorious and there were a lot of new sculptures on display.

The sun shone and we had blue skies all afternoon!

As ever, partners were welcome and there was a choice of sweet or savoury for our afternoon tea.

Five of us enjoyed a classic traditional afternoon tea, including giant Madagascan scones with jam and cream, sumptuous cakes and a selection of sandwiches, while Anne and Stephen chose the savoury afternoon tea option which included soup, sausage rolls and cheese scones. It was rounded off with a hot drink of our choice, tea, coffee or even hot chocolate.
