On Saturday 25th March, a small group of members went to visit Oswestry Town Museum, where they thoroughly enjoyed a guided tour by Mark Hignett.

Mark Hignett is the founder and a volunteer at Oswestry Town Museum. The museum, dedicated to the history of the town, was opened on the top floor of the Guildhall, Bailey Head, about ten years ago, and is well worth a visit!

The museum is cram packed with interesting artefacts and local history, and Mark’s tour was truly fascinating.

The ‘Oswestry’s Wall of Women’ and the Oswestry ‘Timeline’, are ongoing projects.

The group enjoy refreshments at the Courtyard Tearooms.
