Flowers and Feasting

Anne Hill, Ann Morgan, Hazel, Debbie and Janet all enjoyed an evening of flowers and feasting when they attended Llansantffraid WI's Open Evening.

Jackie Jones, from Pool Quay, Welshpool, was there to give an interesting demonstration of flower arranging.

There was a very good turn-out and members watched as Jackie produced her floral works of art; three arrangements which she later donated as raffle prizes.

The supper was a real feast. There was so much food that members were urged to not only go up for ‘seconds’ but to take food home with them! The cakes were particularly impressive.

Both Ann Morgan and Janet won raffle prizes. Janet chose one of the demonstrator’s floral arrangements...

It was enormous!
