The ‘SHOW THE LOVE’ campaign, supported by the NFWI, addresses the increasingly important issue of climate change. February’s speaker, Martin Peck, spoke passionately of ways in which we can protect ‘the life we love’ from climate change. Members were made aware of the urgent need to make the right choices now to safeguard the future of our planet.

Making, wearing and sharing green hearts, to coincide with Valentine’s Day, is the WI’s way of high-lighting the threat climate change poses, and the need for global discussion and co-operation.

In keeping with the theme of the evening, the competition ‘an imaginatively recycled item’ was won by Wendy Barker with her rather stylish hand-crafted bag made from an old pair of jeans!
