Meeting: 11th November, 2015
Annual General Meeting

We didn’t have a speaker this month as it was our Annual General Meeting when officials are selected, and the accounts discussed. Mary McKenzie (President), Janet Burton (Secretary) and Jan Gill (treasurer) will continue in their current roles. Cath Williams, however, took this opportunity to hand over the role of Social Secretary to Pam Parnell.

Over the past few years, Cath has worked hard, ensuring we have had an interesting and varied selection of speakers and activities. Not only that, this year she has taken on the responsibility of setting the monthly competitions for us. Ranging from ‘a flower arrangement in an egg-cup’ to ‘best polished shoe!’

Anne Saunders has kindly agreed to continue to take responsibility for our monthly raffle.

The evening was rounded off with a delicious supper, including beautiful home-made cakes and some most unusual and tasty savouries, all provided by our hostesses, Hazel and Anne Hill.

This month’s competition: ‘Most items in a matchbox, beginning with the letter S’
Joint 1st Janet & Pam    Joint 3rd Cath & Anne E
