It has been a busy summer for Llangynog WI members who have been involved in preparations for the various Centenary celebrations, including bell-ringing, dance rehearsals and arranging a special Centenary lunch.

So, we welcomed the opportunity to relax and learn about the art of creating beautiful fascinators and hats at our September meeting, where Helen Davies demonstrated the intricate processes involved. She used accessories such as a vast array of colourful feathers, sinamay fabric, ribbons, wire and special threads.

A pleasant evening was rounded off with a tasty selection of sweet and savoury snacks prepared by our hostesses, Pauline Nicholls and Jennie Eilbeck.
