The Lure of Lace

A busy evening welcoming new members, turned into one of quiet concentration, as members of Llangynog WI set about following lace maker, Sue Hughes's, clear and detailed demonstration of basic lace making.

In small groups, using lace making pillows, bobbins with fine thread and pins, members took it in turns, following Sue’s instructions, and watched their pieces of lace grow, producing fine patterns.

A challenging but extremely interesting evening which will no doubt lead to some members trying their own lace making at home.

A really tasty supper followed as members discussed future events.
