It was lovely to see everyone back after the New Year. A ray of sunshine, in the form of jovial, singing clergyman, Andrew Evans, brightened up a dark and wet January evening at Llangynog WI. Andrew, our guest speaker, had members in stitches with his humorous poems, jokes and anecdotes. In addition, his guitar playing and singing of popular songs from the 1950’s and 60’s, had us all joining in with gusto!

An interesting variety of New Year’s Resolutions were entered in our monthly competition and judged by Andrew. The raffle, a luxurious hand-wash, was donated by Cath Williams and won by Jennie Eilbeck. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was rounded off with tasty food provided by our hostesses, Jan and Pauline.
