On Sunday 1st June, Clwb Bowlio Llangynog hosted an Oswestry Singles Competition.

Llangynog had a very healthy entry of fourteen players, many of whom were either Berwyn Belles or their partners!

The competition started at 10am and went on all day, as there were more than 30 competitors taking part!

WI Berwyn Belles supported the event by selling bacon and sausage baps… and slices of delicious cake, mostly home-made and all generously donated by WI members.

The tasty baps sold well all morning and then the competitors came back during the afternoon for cake!

The Bowling Club event went really well and we earned about £80 from the sale of baps and cakes for our WI coffers.

A donation of £30 was given to the bowling club.

Meilir Lewis provided the liquid refreshment by making FOC tea and coffee and selling soft drinks.

Thank you to all the Berwyn Belles who helped with the food and provided cake!

Not forgetting the Berwyn Belles (and their partners) who took part in the competition. Well done all!

A truly nail-biting final between two Llangynog Bowling Club members! Well done to everyone who took part and Congratulations to the finalists and winners.
