During March Maureen set up a Facebook Group for us:
‘Llangynog WI.’
This is a closed group and by April twelve WI members had joined. Maureen chose this picture of Cherry Ann for our cover page.
On the 4th April Chris, Maureen and Val had a virtual afternoon tea party.
Chris made a jam sponge and Val made a coffee and walnut cake (it was Mike’s birthday treat) and Maureen supplied the drinks!
On the 8th April, Chris and Phil enjoy coffee in the sunshine with neighbours Anne and John… observing the social distancing rule of course!
Also, on the 8th April, here’s Mary taking her permitted daily exercise.
9th April - during lockdown Janet has been gardening a lot. She is determined to fit all the waste into the green bin!
On the 12th April Maureen’s family had a virtual Easter Bonnet parade. She did pretty well as she only had ten minutes to produce something.
Seeing this online Janet was prompted to join in the fun with another ten-minute effort!
On 15th April it was Maureen’s Birthday!

29th April, Joanne doing her bit, making scrub bags for NHS workers.
On the 30th April, members of Llangynog Book Club took part in their very first ‘Zoom’ conference meeting.
Very successful it was too! It was agreed that we should think about doing something similar for WI!
