Open Evening 'Fixing Fast Fashion' - Wednesday 13th May
Llangynog WI will be holding an Open Evening on Wednesday 13th May, at 7.30pm. This year we have chosen the environmental theme of 'Fixing Fast Fashion'. Our speaker, Ros Hornbuckle, is knowledgeable and very passionate about the subject. (She is also known for her beautiful woven tapestry work, often exhibited in the Willow Gallery in Oswestry).

In addition, our members will be putting on a 'fashion show' of re-cycled and second-hand clothes. Our WI models, many of whom, are already charity shop and eBay devotees, have been given the challenge of putting together a variety of complete outfits for the catwalk. (We are also persuading husbands and partners to join in!) Our aim is to promote the slowing down of fast fashion by recycling and re-using.

The evening will start with a tipple, i.e. Mary's cocktail "WASTE NOT WANT NOT" and conclude with the usual tasty supper. Invites will go out to all WI members in the Powys Group, as well as to friends, partners and anyone who we feel may be interested in joining our WI!
