Saucy Sue: Sue Blower entertains at Llanymynech WI Open Evening

Anne Hill, Janet Burton and Maggie Parker had a most enjoyable evening when they met up with other WI members in Llanymynech Village Hall for the WI Open Evening.

Sue Blower, Montgomery Powys Town Crier, and larger than life character, thoroughly entertained us with her candid, amusing and, at times, rather saucy account of her life's experiences.

The only Town Crier to wear striped stocking!

Her talk was interspersed with song, mostly humorous, but at times more serious and moving. She told us about her time nursing orphans and babies in Romania and Kenya, as well as her many exploits as a Town Crier.

As usual the evening was rounded off with a tasty supper and a cuppa!
