Wendy Barker wins 1st place for her story!
Llangynog members were delighted when it was announced at their November meeting that Wendy Barker had completely won the judges over with her amusing story about a ‘WI meeting that went wrong!’ Wendy was awarded first place, and Llangynog WI achieved third place overall, at the recent Annual Council Meeting in Newtown.
There was further success with Anne Hill receiving ‘Highly Commended’ and a special mention, for her outstanding painting ‘Escape to the Country’.

Llangynog WI members had managed to enter every category, and President, Mary McKenzie, was extremely proud to receive The Tydfil Roberts Cup on their behalf!
