Meeting: 11th September, 2024

September

Val Littlehales

Storyteller Extraordinaire

Llangynog WI enjoyed a wonderful meeting on Wednesday 11th September, entertained by storyteller Val Littlehales, who came along with a colourful suitcase.

Starting with folklore about animals and their magical qualities, Val interspersed these legends with very funny stories about a range of characters, each one illustrated with a hat or wig from her suitcase!

Her warmth, her love of the links between animals and humans and her gentle humour kept us enthralled and laughing. Such a joyous way to spend our evening.

The Raffle Prize, a lovely pashmina, was donated by Maureen and won by Petrina
